General Policy

The Spina Bifida Afflicted for Strength, Haleness, and Awareness (SASHA) Foundation deeply values the generosity of our donors. Donations help us continue our mission of raising awareness and supporting individuals affected by Spina Bifida.

As a general rule, all donations made to the SASHA Foundation are non-refundable. However, we understand that errors may occur and will review refund requests on a case-by-case basis.

Eligibility for Refunds

Refunds may be considered under the following circumstances:

• Duplicate Donations: If a donor accidentally makes the same donation more than once.
• Technical Errors: If a transaction error occurs due to website or payment gateway issues.
• Unauthorised Transactions: If a donation was made fraudulently or without the donor’s consent.

Refunds will not be provided for donations made intentionally and successfully unless required by applicable law.

Refund Request Procedure

• Donors must submit a refund request within 7 days of the donation date.
• Requests should be made through our official ways to give page.
• Donors must provide details such as name, transaction ID, donation amount, date of donation, and reason for the refund request.

Tax Implications

If an 80G (in India) or other tax exemption certificate has already been issued, a refund may be denied or require the certificate’s return.

Processing of Refunds

• Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method.
• Refunds may take up to 10–15 business days to reflect in the donor’s account, depending on the payment provider.
• Any transaction fees or bank charges incurred may be deducted from the refund amount.

Recurring Donations

• Donors who have set up recurring donations may cancel future donations at any time by contacting us.
• Refunds will only apply to the most recent transaction if eligible under Section 2.
